Though Helen McMurphy, a waitress at the Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon in Port Orange, Florida has been dating her manager, Harold Global, for almost three months, she says her request for important time off has been denied.

For the first time in recent memory, many bars and restaurants in the Boston area have decided to keep raw oysters off the menu this year. The owners of these establishments are worried about a recent government study that found conclusive evidence that oysters are, indeed, a powerful aphrodisiac.
